Korean-style restaurant simjang — the second location from the deadhorse hill team — is expected to open March 1 on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester, said co-owner Albert LaValley on Tuesday.

The deadhorse ownership group — which includes LaValley, Chef Jared Forman and Bar Director Sean Woods — announced in August plans for the second restaurant, which will take the location once occupied by Sweet Kitchen & Bar, which closed in July after being open for nine years.

Earlier this month, the group announced the simjang management, including Wine Director Julia Auger, Chef Mike Wenc and General Manager Ellen Benson.

That team, according to an announcement from the new restaurant, previously worked together at Strip T’s in Watertown, along with Forman and Woods.

To promote the new restaurant, deadhorse hill on Tuesday will host a menu takeover to preview the culinary treats coming to simjang.
