Tri-Valley Inc. has promoted Elisabeth “Lisa” Prince to executive director and CEO, the Dudley-based nonprofit announced Tuesday. Prince replaces outgoing CEO Marilyn L. Travinski, who is retiring at the end of January.

Prince is a veteran with the organization, which provides services to older adults, the disabled and their caregivers, according to a statement. Prince joined Tri-Valley as a case manager nearly 20 years ago. During her tenure, she served as president of the Massachusetts Council of Adult Family Care for nine years. Prince received her bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University and her master’s degree from Worcester State College in nonprofit management.

Travinski is retiring after leading Tri-Valley for 25 years. She began her career in education and served eight years as a Massachusetts State Representative before coming to Tri-Valley. Travinski was the first woman in the history of the legislature to chair the Commerce and Labor Committee. She received her bachelor’s degree from Albertus Magnus College and her master’s degree from Wesleyan University.
