Redemption Rock Brewing Co. eyes old Coca Cola bottling plant in Worcester for brewery

Another brewery is working to open on Worcster's Shrewsbury Street, this one in a former Coca Cola bottling plant.

Redemption Rock Brewing Co. is planning to open at 333 Shrewsbury St., brewery owner Danielle Babineau said at a Historical Commission meeting last week.

The Historical Commission granted a demolition delay waiver for the project at the 78-year-old building.

The brewery plans to replace windows, exterior doors that look more like the original elements of the building before it was renovated in the 1980s, Babineau said.

Windows will be configured to allow more natural light into the brewery space, Babineau said.

An original garage door currently above a dropped ceiling will somehow be incorporated into the project, Babineau said.

Babineau or another brewery representative could not immediately be reached for comment.

According to the state's business filings, the brewery was first incorporated in 2014 as a corporation and was then converted to an LLC in 2016.
