Nonprofit artist group Creative Hub Worcester is beginning its summer arts programming in a newly renovated space in the Hadley Apartments building.

The youth arts program will be run out of the building’s first floor, previously a vacant storefront. The program is the group’s first initiative.

Creative Hub Worcester is holding a grand opening of the space on June 6.

The program will provide care for students from the Hadley Apartment building and Worcester schools within walking distance, Creative Hub announced in January. It will focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) and will offer a diverse set of activities for students each afternoon.

Creative Hub, co-founded by public school art teachers Laura Marotta and Stacy Lord, will train after-school staff through a program administered by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
