A health and fitness facility on the outskirts of the Framingham Technology Park is looking to relocate to a 15,500-square-foot facility further into the park.

Evolve Fitness, which currently operates out of a 21,000-square-foot space at 2 California Ave, is proposing to relocate to a 14,800-square-foot building at 11 California Ave. and extend a mezzanine to bring the total area to 15,500 square feet.

Both buildings are owned by Framingham property owner Westchester Associates, which lists its principals as Harrison and Michael McCarthy. The 11 California Ave. building is currently vacant, but had previously been occupied by Bose Corp.’s customer service staff.

Although the move is a downsize, the building’s owner imagines increased usage by employers in the Technology Park, including Sanofi Genzyme, Bose Corp. and a soon-to-be constructed life science building at the former site of MetroWest Daily News on New York Ave.

In paperwork filed with the city, Westchester Associates did not indicate what it plans to do with the 2 California Ave. location.
