Gardner's Moon Hill Brewing Co. and a Phillipston's Red Apple Farm are partnering to bring Worcester County a summer-long brew yard.

The farm's Red Apple Country Barn will transform into the Brew Yard for the summer, beginning June 22.

Eight Moon Hill beers will be on tap, plus a new brew co-produced by Rich Walton of Moon Hill and Al Rose of Red Apple Farm: Rick & Al's Apple Ale.

The partnership will also see the beginning of manufacturing of hard cider, after years of the two companies collaborating on festivals

"The Brew Barn and our plans for hard cider will continue to bring new energy to our area of North Central Massachusetts," Walton said.

The Brew Barn will feature food from the farm's barbecue, including a full summer menu of pulled pork, grass-fed burgers, salads and sides. A wagon stage is being built of live outdoor music, and 40 picnic tables will be scarred in and around the Brew Barn. The space is designed to be family friendly, including lawn games and children's areas.

The Brew Barn and the plans to co-produce hard cider are hoped to bring new energy to North Central Massachusetts.

"Invigorating the local economy, neighbors working with neighbors, getting the country back into our lives, is what it's all about," said Nancy Rose of Red Apple Farm.

The Brew Yard will be open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays until August 12.
