Bay State Savings Bank has promoted three people at its Worcester headquarters: THOMAS BELTON to senior vice president of information technology, JEANIE CONNOLLY to senior vice president of commercial lending, and LUCAS MILLER to senior vice president of compliance and general counsel. Belton, of Spencer, joined Bay State Savings Bank in 2001 and has more than 20 years of experience in banking. Connolly, of Princeton, joined the bank in 2017 from Clinton Savings Bank, where she was a commercial relationship manager. Miller, of Leicester, joined the bank in 2013. He studied chemistry at Worcester State University before earning a law degree from Suffolk University.

Lamoureaux Pagano Associates Architects, a Worcester architectural firm, has added three new employees: NATALIE GABRIELLE, MELISSA MARTINEZ, and IAN WELSH. Gabrielle, a licensed architect with 10 years of experience, is designing the new Beal Early Childhood Center in Shrewsbury. She has a bachelor's degree in architecture and environmental design from Ball State University and a master's degree in urban design from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Martinez, a project manager with eight years of experience, is part of a team designing a new South High Community School in Worcester. She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Welsh is also on the team designing the new South High. He earned his bachelor's degree in architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

SABRINA GRILLO has been promoted to branch manager of the Sturbridge office of bankHometown. Grillo joined bankHometown in 2009 as a teller in the Sturbridge office and was promoted to assistant branch manager in Oxford in 2015. She is pursuing her bachelor's degree in business administration at the New England College of Business in Boston.

The UMass Memorial Eye Center in Worcester has added two new doctors. JUSTINE GRIER, an optometrist, received her bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Maryland and her doctorate of optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry. She was completing a residency in pediatric optometry this summer at the New England College of Optometry. SUZANNE JOHNSTON, a pediatric ophthalmologist, will provide evaluation, diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment for children two days a week at UMass' Hahnemann Campus. She is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina who completed her residency at the Eastern Virginia Medical School and a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at Duke University.

ALEX GEYER has been promoted to senior brand strategist at Vision Advertising in Worcester. In this newly created role, he will be responsible for managing client accounts and their marketing plans. Alex has worked at Vision Advertising for four years. He works remotely from Portland, Oregon.

OLIVER JOSEPH has joined Alternatives and The Bridge, two agencies providing adults with developmental or psychiatric disabilities. Joseph will provide consultation to the Central Community Health Partnership, with which Alternatives and The Bridge are partners. He is a graduate of Boston University and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, and completed his residency in psychiatry at UMass Memorial Medical Center.

ERA Key Realty Services of Northbridge has two new real estate agents, VARTAN SAHVERDIYAN and DAWN GRISOLD. Sahverdiyan has nearly two decades of experience in the restaurant business and was a clothier for years for Brooks Brothers, Armani, Bloomingdales and Nordstrom. Griswold was previously a senior product sales representative for Staples.
