Boston restaurant Giacomo's to open Wayland location

MetroWest residents won’t have to go very far for a taste of the North End.
Giacomo’s Ristorante, an Italian eatery in Boston’s Italian neighborhood, is opening its fourth location in Wayland, according to Lexington-based Summit Realty Partners.
The restaurant will take the 3,259-square-foot space vacated by Bertucci’s at Wayland Town Center on Elissa Avenue. Bertucci’s filed for bankruptcy in April and was acquired by Earl Enterprises in June for $20 million.
According to Summit Realty, the new location will be the first Giacomo’s to offer pizza and feature a full-service bar offering cocktails, beer and an extensive wine list.
Giacomo’s other locations are in Boston’s North End, South End and Melrose.
The restaurant joins Stop & Shop, Boston Sports Clubs, The Local Restaurant, Takara Japanese Restaurant, Panera Bread, Jos A. Bank and other businesses in the plaza.
