Red Heat Tavern has opened its fifth location, at Milford Crossing.

The restaurant had a soft opening on Oct. 12 and a grand opening on Tuesday. Regular hours began on Wednesday.

Red Heat Tavern is the latest addition at the Milford plaza, which has undergone a major renovation since last year to include a Stop & Shop, T.J.Maxx, HomeGoods, Chipotle, Starbucks and CycleBar. Red Heat Tavern also has locations in Westborough, Wilmington, Bedford and Windsor, Conn.

Milford Crossing, a 180,000-square-foot plaza off Route 109, lost Kmart, the steakhouse Bugaboo Creek and World Gym in short order before New York owner RD Management undertook a $20-million renovation. The plaza's other new tenants opened late last year.
