Marlborough medical device maker Boston Scientific is claiming patent infringement in a new lawsuit against two companies and its distributor for allegedly marketing a gastrointestinal clip.

The product in question is Boston Scientific's Resolution Clip, which helps control gastrointestinal bleeding. The company claims three of its patents obtained in 2006, 2015 and 2018 are being infringed upon

According to the lawsuit, Michigan-based Micro-Tech USA, its Chinese manufacturer Micro-Tech Nanjing and New York-based distributor Henry Schein make and sell a product with features Boston Scientific says should be covered by its patents.

The company says features designed to apply clips to tissue, a device causing the hemostasis of a blood vessel for use through an endoscope, and an apparatus for applying clips to issue in a living body are all elements of Micro-Tech’s product, the SureClip.
