Mendon Restaurant Barry's Place and a driving range on the same property has been sold to a businessman for $1.3 million.

A businessman with a litany of holdings in the Milford area has purchased a driving range across the street from his auto dealership empire in Mendon.

Kevin Meehan, owner of Imperial Cars, purchased the eight-acre property -- including restaurant and bar Barry's Place -- for more than $1.3 million.

The transaction closed Dec. 31, according to real estate records.

According to state business records, Meehan's listed property owner, Hastings Street Plaza LLC, was not only set up to buy, sell, mortgage and lease real estate, but also construct improvements on said real estate.

The property is directly across from Meehan's Ford, Chevrolet and Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge/Ram dealerships.

It was previously owned by Dawn Phaneuf and Russell Brown, according to property records.

Meehan could not immediately be reached for comment Wednesday. Phone numbers for the driving range and Barry's Place were not operational.
