Westborough contract manufacturer Columbia Tech has received the Westborough Economic Development Committee’s Innovation Award for the second time in four years.

The company, a subsidiary of Worcester-based Coghlin Cos., was recently honored at the committee’s fifth annual celebratory event.

In a press release, Columbia Tech said it won the award for product development, manufacturing, global fulfillment and aftermarket services to innovative OEMs spanning across several industries including life sciences, robotics, semiconductor, homeland security and power management.

Columbia Tech first won the award in 2015.

The event included remarks from Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito, who said 60 new businesses came to the Westborough area in 2018.

In a statement, Columbia Tech President and CEO Chris Coghlin said the company is thrilled to be recognized by the town again.

"This award is representative of the amazing dedication and commitment of our caring associates and collaborators who have worked with us to achieve meaningful growth in the business community,” Coghlin said.
