The Hanover joins global insurance network

The Hanover Insurance Group has joined the global network of a U.K.-based insurer as a U.S. strategic network partner.
The Worcester-based company announced the agreement with RSA Group on Thursday, saying it expands the company’s international speciality capabilities through agent partners for domestic businesses with overseas risks.
The Hanover now gains access to a global network of highly-skilled and respected local insurers in more than 180 countries.
In a statement, president of The Hanover’s core commercial business Michael Keane said the partnership helps simplify the process for Hanover’s agents, offering total account solutions for U.S. companies with overseas operations.
“By coordinating all elements of clients' U.S. and foreign insurance programs, businesses can more efficiently and effectively manage possible exposures,” Keane said.
The company offers a controlled master program with difference in conditions and limits coverage to help reduce gaps in coverage and meet the needs of international exposures that local policies won’t cover, Hanover said.
The new services will be available through Hanover’s agent partners beginning March 1.
