With the go-ahead from the state’s cannabis regulators, Uxbridge retail pot store Caroline’s Cannabis will open on March 15.

The CCC’s authorization to commence operations allows the business to open in three days, but owner Caroline Frankel said she is going beyond that date.

The 640 Douglas St. store will open Friday, March 15 at 11 a.m.

Some onsite parking will be provided, but a lot down the street will also be utilized, Frankel said Thursday.

The location is near an office park and two marijuana cultivators that are also seeking state approvals.

Frankel has marketed her store as a boutique cannabis shop that will open without the backing of wealthy investors, a board of directors or an expensive legal team.

The company is the first woman-owned small business and the first general applicant to be awarded a final license.

"It's a totally passion-driven project for me," Frankel said last month when the company was awarded a final license from the CCC. "I've been working on this for about six years on a full-time basis.”
