What’s made in Worcester?
Got a tip a while back from WormTaxi about this blog post. Well, we are kinda uniquely qualified to help answer this question. After all, we regularly run a column in our paper called Industrial Strength, which is all about manufacturing in Central Mass. Here’s a quick list of Worcester-made stuff culled from our paper:
- Fiber-optic cable at Telecast Fibre
- Transport cases at Image Production Services
- Ceramic Decals at Heinrich Ceramic Decal
- Office furniture at Wright Line LLC
- Then, of course, there’s Saint-Gobain which makes stuff, just stuff that is a little difficult to explain (abrasives).
- And then there are the drugs that are produced in part at Abbott and other biomedical companies.
- And Worcester is also very good at producing young minds, what will all the colleges around.
We’ll keep thinking of more!
