Hanover Expands Coverage To Docs, Lawyers

The Hanover Insurance Group Inc. of Worcester has broadened the way it covers medical and lawyers' offices.

The company said it would begin offering a plan that cover off-premises physicians' tools and equipment, medical hazardous waste and radioactive contamination clean-up. The plan also offers loss settlement options for business income, the company said.

The lawyers plan provides coverage for employee dishonesty, contractual penalties, fine art and lawyers' offices, including library coverage.

The new coverage is being offered as an endorsement, making small businesses eligible for the coverage at a cost lower than that of similar stand-alone policies, the company said.
