Framingham State Hires Development Director

Framingham State College has hired a new vice president for college advancement, Christopher Hendry of Nashua, N.H.

Hendry will focus on expanding the college's individual and corporate donations, which is vital to the school's efforts to grow. About 40 percent of the school's budget comes from the state.

Hendry plans to relocate to the MetroWest area. He was previously director of development at Fitchburg State College, where he led a $15 million capital campaign. Before joining Fitchburg in 2002, he worked for a decade as executive director at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Nashua and Natick.
