Initial Jobless Claims Fall 10K

In the week ending Aug. 23, 425,000 Americans filed for unemployment benefits for the first time, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

That's a decrease of 10,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 435,000. The 4-week moving average was 440,250, a decrease of 6,000 from the previous week.
