Bar Association Names Section Chiefs

Several Central Massachusetts lawyers and academics have been appointed Massachusetts Bar Association section chairmanships.

James T. Van Buren of Fitchburg has been named chairman of the association's access to justice section. George M. Thompson Jr. of Westborough was chosen to head up the health law section along with a Braintree lawyer.

James C. Donnelly Jr. of Mirick O'Connell in Worcester will run the association's judicial administration section. Michael E. Donnelly of Anna Maria College in Paxton was chosen to head the juvenile and child welfare section along with an attorney from Roxbury.

John G. Dugan of Doherty, Ciechanowski, Dugan & Cannon in Franklin will head the probate law section.

Mary T. Feeney of Bowditch & Dewey in Framingham and Margaret J. Hurley of the state attorney general's Central Massachusetts regional office and municipal law unit will head the public law section.

The appointments are the first for Clinton attorney Edward W. McIntyre, who became the association's president in September.
