Janet B. Ceddia, president of Hudson-based Security Construction Services Inc. has been nominated to receive the U.S. Small Business Administration's Massachusetts Small Business Person of the Year Award.
With Ceddia as president, Security Construction has more than tripled its workforce in six years. The company now has 37 employees and is considered an industry leader in managing construction projects for federal agencies and military installations in the Northeast.
The company specializes in perimeter security, anti-terrorist fencing and intrusion barriers.
Ceddia, a Colby College and Harvard Business School graduate, was named by the SBA as the Regional Prime Contractor of the Year in 2008.
Small Business Person of the Year Award winners will be honored in Washington, D.C. during Small Business Week May 18-22.
