Netezza Corp., a data warehouse and analytic appliances company in Marlborough, named J. Chris Scalet a member of its board of directors.
Scalet is currently executive vice president of global services and chief information officer at Merck & Co. Inc. He started off as CIO in 2003, and added the executive VP title in January 2008.
Prior to joining Merck, Scalet was at International Paper and MAPCO Inc.
