Initial Jobless Claims Inch Down

In the week ending June 27, 614,000 Americans filed claims for unemployment insurance coverage for the first time, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

That's a decrease of 16,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 630,000. The 4-week moving average was 615,250, a decrease of 2,750 from the previous week.
