Development Conference Set For Wednesday

MassDevelopment, along with the University of Massachusetts Boston and the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, is holding a conference Wednesday for developers on how to attract biotech companies to the state's "gateway cities."

The meeting is schedule for 8 a.m. Wednesday at the UMass Boston Campus Center at 100 Morrissey Blvd. in Boston. It is the seventh in a series of meetings held by MassDevelopment designed to showcase development opportunities.

Gateway cities include Worcester, Leominster, Fitchburg, Fall River, Haverhill, Holyoke, Lawrence, Lowell, New Bedford, Pittsfield and Springfield.

Wednesday's conference will include Robert Culver, Mass Development's president and CEO; Robert Coughlin, MassBio's president and CEO, John Ciccarelli, UMass Boston's associate vice chancellor; William Brah, UMass Boston's assistant vice provost and Robert Cunningham, vice president of RainDance Technologies of Lexington.
