The state Division of Insurance is holding a series of hearings, including one in Worcester Friday, on the rising cost of small business health insurance premiums.
The Worcester hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at the Worcester State College student center. The hearing is considered an "introductory hearing," and is designed to allow interested parties to provide written or verbal comment and questions for the division prior to "health plan hearings" scheduled for next week.
The health plan hearings will take place Monday at 10 a.m. at division offices at One South Station in Boston.
Massachusetts health plans will be asked by the division to respond to questions regarding health premiums for small businesses. The division expects the hearings to be held three times per week for at least six weeks.
