Board Shift At EMC

EMC Corp. of Hopkinton has added James S. DiStasio to its board of directors, while former CFO W. Paul Fitzgerald has resigned from the board and become a director emeritus.

DiStasio is a retired partner of global professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP, where he served in management positions including senior vice chairman and Americas chief operating officer. He will be a member of EMC's audit committee.

He is also a member of the board of trustees of utility company NStar Corp.

Fitzgerald served as EMC's CFO until retiring as an employee in 1995. He was on the board for nearly 20 years.
