Oak Hill Country Club, a private club in Fitchburg, has hired Bucky Buchanan as director of membership.
Buchanan, a PGA member and golf industry veteran, was previously employed by Sterling National Country Club, which shut down early this year. He lives in Westminster.
Oak Hill said Buchanan will be responsible for recruiting new members and launching new programs designed to better serve the club's membership.
The 18-hole course will host the 2011 Massachusetts State Open and the 2015 Massachusetts Amateur Championship.
