Foreclosed Southbridge Complex Sold

The foreclosed and vacant commercial property at 79 North St. in Southbridge has been sold and will be home to a clinical laboratory.

Fromm Development Inc. of Hull bought the 23,606-square-foot facility recently for $240,000 from Savers Bank, which foreclosed on the property last year, according to Glickman Kovago & Co., the Worcester-based broker that handled the deal.

The building will be occupied by Precision Testing Laboratories Inc. of Sturbridge, a drug, alcohol and pain management testing laboratory.

In addition to the 17,838 square feet of office space, the brick and concrete facility includes more than 5,000 square feet of warehouse space and parking for about 50 vehicles. It sits on slightly more than 2 acres of land.

The building was vacant for about a year after its last tenant, the state Department of Transitional Assistance, moved to another office nearby.
