Miguel Fernandez-Nazario is helping to turn Downtown Worcester into a destination, through his leadership as operations supervisor for StreetPlus, managing the Downtown Worcester Business Improvement District's clean & safe team across a 78-acre radius.
Since his promotion from cleaning ambassador to operations manager within one year of joining in 2019, he has maintained impeccable standards for cleanliness and safety. His team's first aid training and proactive community monitoring prevent social issues by coordinating with police and emergency services. He earned his real estate license with Century 21, purchased his first three-family investment property, and completed advanced coursework including AI project management and biotech project management through MassBioEd, plus carpentry and contracting training.
As founder of a nonprofit organization focused on expanding real estate access for low-income families, he educates first-time homebuyers using public tools like the Mass.gov HomeBASE program. His holistic approach to community wellness includes hosting a plant-based living and self-sufficiency show, supporting 100+ Worcester residents with juice and alkaline food cleanses. His vision includes owning a farm rooted in food sovereignty, wellness, and sustainability with educational opportunities for all.
