Vice president & cash management operations manager
Fidelity Bank, Leominster
Lives: Shirley
Birthplace: Leominster
When Leger began as a teller at Fidelity Bank's Fitchburg branch, she was a single mother of a 3-year-old boy. She's climbed the ladder, becoming head teller, deposit operations representative, call center and commercial services supervisor and assistant vice president. Leger is now the face of the bank to some of its largest business clients. She played a key role in the merger with Barre Savings bank in 2016 by spearheading the cash-management conversion. She is on the management task force finalizing Fidelity's merger with Colonial Co-operative Bank. She was responsible for establishing the bank's cash management operations department in 2009 and overseeing that growth, which has allowed the bank to increase its product offering and increase the bank's client total while supporting a multi-million dollar portfolio. She is a founding member of the Heart Club, a Fidelity Bank committee ensuring employees work in a positive environment. She won the bank's Mission Accomplished award for representing the support departments and the Pursuit of Excellence award for personifying the bank's core values. For the past 10 years, Leger has volunteered for the mental illness nonprofit SHINE Initiative and was a member of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Institute in which she help start the support group Healthier Minds Social.
