Administrator
Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center/Oriol Health Care, West Boylston
Lives: Holden
Birthplace: Worcester
College: University of New Hampshire
Oriol wasted no time rising up through Oriol Health Care, becoming the administrator at age 23 in 2013. Oakdale, where Oriol oversees a staff of more than 125, has been better because of it, becoming a five-star facility for the first time earlier this year as rated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and was one of only two such centers in Massachusetts to be given a silver rating by the American Health Care Association. A third-generation member of the Oriol family to be involved with the business, he hasn't ended his involvement there. He is the president of the Oriol Foundation, which the company founded last year for promoting wellness and helping healthcare innovation locally. Nathan has been the treasurer of the Wachusett Area Chamber of Commerce for the past two years and a board member for the Worcester Sports Foundation for the last three. When he's not at work, he can be found attempting very different kinds of challenges. He loves trail running, mountain biking, paintballing and endurance obstacle course racing. He's been ranked among the top 150 male obstacle course racers in the country by Spartan Race in four straight years since 2014. He's even run an obstacle course for 24 hours without stopping.
From 40 Under Forty judge Milka Njoroge: “Nathan is a dedicated leader who is committed to excellence.”
What do you do in your free time? Attend every single Worcester Railers and Massachusetts Pirates games at the DCU Center with my autistic younger brother.
What TV show character is most like you? Ted Mosby from “How I Met Your Mother.” He is kind, passionate, hopeful and a little dorky.
