Worcester human service nonprofit Ascentria Care Alliance has named the former finance chief at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Technology Services & Security as its new chief financial officer.
Jeanette Wade, who was also an internal control officer for the state office, joined Ascentria earlier this month. She now directs the organization’s financial strategy, technology, business development and facilities.
During her time with the state, Wade helped restructure funding paradigms to reduce cost burdens and established profit-and-loss controls to evaluate cost reduction opportunities and service expansions.
She served as finance technology liaison to all state offices.
In a statement, President and CEO Angela Bovill said Wade has the experience, knowledge and commitment to excellence the organization was looking for in a new finance chief.
“We are confident she will help carry out our mission of empowerment by wisely managing our investments and developing new funding solutions to ensure continued success in our social enterprise initiatives,” Bovill said. “We feel fortunate and happy to have found an innovative leader with such outstanding expertise and determination.”
Wade, who holds a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in business and strategic management from Harvard University, said in a statement her business philosophy is every organization can improve its efficiency and sustainability.
“Ascentria reflects that same attitude,” she said. “Our purpose as a nonprofit is to get great results in order to help more people to thrive.”
