Robert E. Johnson, president of Worcester’s Becker College, has joined the Council on Competitiveness, a national nonprofit policy group.
The Council on Competitiveness was founded in 1986. It brings together business executives, labor leaders and university presidents to make policy recommendations to improve the nation’s competitiveness in the world.
Dennis D. Berkey, president of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, also serves on the council.
The council is working on an agenda for U.S. competitiveness and economic recovery, and it plans to finalize recommendations at its national summit in December in Washington D.C. The event will also mark the council’s 25th anniversary.
