BJ's Moving Natick Headquarters
BJ's Wholesale Club is considering moving its headquarters from Natick, according to a conference call related to the company's year-end earnings.
CFO Fran Forward did not say where the company plans to move, only that the company is eying a space about 10 miles away from its current headquarters at the corporate office park on Mercer Road in Natick. The company is currently spread out over five buildings in the complex and parking is limited.
"We're actually taking advantage of...a very good home office market. I don't want to mention the square footage rent, but it's going to be a lot less than what we're paying now," Forward said, according to a transcript of the conference call.
He said the company is still finalizing the plans for the move.
The company reported a profit of $132 million on revenue of $10.2 billion for 2009.
BJ's operates 187 stores in 15 states.
