Blackstone Valley receives $456K grant for voke/tech

The Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce received a $456,320 Skills Capital Grant from the state to implement vocational and technical training programs, part of $9.5 million awarded by the Gov. Charlie Baker's administration to 32 educational institutions. 

The Blackstone chamber will partner with Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester State University’s Center of Business and Industry, and Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston to implement its training programs.

The programs will include CAD computers and software, 3D printers and a mini-Fab lab, according to a press release on Wednesday.

The Baker Administration has awarded more than $36 million in such grants to 78 different educational institutions over the last two years, according to the release.
