Blupoint Healthcare has opened a new intake center at its Whitinsville location. The Central Intake Center will streamline the admission process for potential patients seeking respite care, residential care, and rehabilitation services.
The center will allow patients to find a placement at one of Blupoint’s four post-acute skilled nursing facilities, according to a Monday press release from the organization. Locations are in Whitinsville, Athol, Amesbury and South Hadley.
It is our mission to improve and enhance our customer experience, and we believe the first step is to streamline the referral and admission process for our customers in the healthcare community while continuing to deliver excellent patient care and customer service in the process,” Patricia Leja, chief nursing officer for Blupoint Healthcare, said in the press release.
The CIC will utilize a variety of electronic medical records and a real-time bed board, which will allow hospital-to-residential placements in a shorter amount of time. Newton-based Blupoint Healthcare has more than 500 beds across Massachusetts for post-acute patients.
