DATTCO, Inc., a motorcoach and school bus company based in New Britain, Connecticut, has purchased a 48.4-acre industrial property in Millbury for $3.5 million.

The deal involves a 17,120-square-foot industrial warehouse and repair facility at 3 Silver Fox Drive, as well as industrial zoned parcels at 1, 2, and 4, Silver Fox Drive.

The facilities at 3 Silver Fox Drive contain five garage bays, as well as warehouse and office space, according to a press release issued by Worcester-based real estate firm Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates on Thursday.

The parcels were sold by entities managed by Millbury-based Fox Bus Lines in a transaction finalized on Thursday, according to Worcester District Registry of Deeds records. Fox Bus remains a tenant at the site, alongside computer support and services firm Alpha NetSolutions, according to the press release.

The price comes out to roughly $204-per-square-foot, with Kelleher & Sadowsky saying in the press release the deal shows strong demand for industrial space of this type in Central Massachusetts.

“We are very excited to announce the purchase of the former Fox Bus property in Millbury,” Donald DeVivo, president of DATTCO, said. “This location will allow us to move vehicles into the facility and strengthen our ability to serve the greater Worcester area. We look forward to the new opportunities this creates for DATTCO to expand our charter services and better meet the needs of our customers.”

Will Kelleher and Christopher Naff of Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates represented the seller and were the sole brokers in the transaction.
