Clark names first general counsel in university's history

Clark University has named Kendall Isaac its first-ever general counsel, the Worcester school announced Thursday morning.

As part of his appointment, Isaac will also serve as vice president, secretary of the university, and assistant secretary of the board of trustees. He currently works as vice president, general counsel and assistant to the president for special initiatives at Dickinson College in Pennsylvania. 

At Clark, Isaac will serve as an adviser to the administration on things like school policies, contracts and procurement, compliance with laws and regulations, human resources and diversity, equity, and inclusion, risk management, and university governance, per the announcement.

Isaac holds a law degree from Capital University Law School in Ohio and a doctor of education degree from Columbus State University in Georgia. 

Isaac will begin work on Oct. 15.
