Communicators, Ad Club Merge

Worcester's Society of Professional Communicators plans to merge with the long-dormant Ad Club of Worcester.

The merger will be put to a vote at the SPC's annual meeting June 3.

The Ad Club has been inactive for the last six years due to reduced participation and bad economic conditions. The SPC approached the club about a merger last year.

The agreement was made between the SPC and the Ad Club's last president, Steve Salloway of Davis Advertising in Worcester and past president Jean Giguere of Smith + Jones in Sturbridge.

The SPC is a networking organization for public relations, media, marketing and visual arts professionals. It meets monthly.
