Kena David has joined Milford-based Consigli Construction as the company’s new director of sustainability.
In this role, David will help the company receive sustainability certifications for a number of Consigli projects, according to a press release issued by the company on Thursday.
“Kena’s commitment to sustainability, environmental social governance planning and advancing a greener future for the communities where we build, live, and work is unmatched,” Todd McCabe, vice president of project services at Consigli, said in the press release. "We're thrilled to have her join the Consigli team. Her innovative expertise will enhance our projects and contribute to our commitment to sustainability and ESG initiatives, driving real change in our jobsites and offices."
David replaces Steven Burke in this role. Burke has since joined Boston-based Suffolk Construction as its senior director, sustainability in November, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Sustainable projects Consigli is working on include the David Rubenstein Treehouse conference center at Harvard University in Cambridge and the Williams College Museum of Art in Williamstown.
David holds a number of sustainability-related credentials and industry awards. She won the ELEVATE Rising Rock Star Award in 2017, which honors diversity and women leadership related to commercial real estate in the San Francisco Bay area.
A graduate of the University of San Francisco with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and chemistry, David comes to Consigli from Related Beal, a Boston-based real estate firm.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that Steven Burke's new role was at Consigli. His new role is actually with Suffolk Construction.
