The Harleysville Group Inc., the Pennsylvania-based parent of the Harleysville Worcester Insurance Co. in Worcester, reported third quarter net income of $25.5 million on revenue of $242 million.
The company said the increase in operating income from $0.69 per share during the third quarter of last year to $0.83 this year was a record. The company reported net written commercial premiums for the quarter of $168.7 million and personal premiums of $39.5 million.
Harleysville operates in 32 states.
