Exalpha Leaves Maynard For Shirley

Phoenix Park has attracted Exalpha Biologicals Inc. from Maynard to Shirley.

According to Phoenix, Exalpha intends to move its headquarters from Maynard in September. The company, a developer of reagents and antibodies for the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, said the move brings the company closer to its employees.

While the move makes commutes shorter for many Exalpha employees, John Castracane, the company's president, said Shirley "is considerably closer to may home, so the move consisted partly of selfish motivation."

Phoenix Park is about 300,000 square feet of flex space in an old mill complex.
