Fallon Health awards $150K to 13 organizations

Fallon Health has awarded $150,000 across 13 organizations as part of its 2022 Community Impact Grants.

The grants range from $10,000 to $15,000, and are allotted to programs focusing on food security and/or health initiatives for older adults, the Worcester-based nonprofit health insurer announced Thursday.

“It has been an unprecedented year of need in the diverse communities we serve as indicated by the nearly 125 applications we received,” Richard Burke, president and CEO of Fallon Health, said in the written announcement. 

Organizations receiving awards include:

  • Merrimack Valley Food Bank, Inc. in Lowell
  • Boys & Girls Club of Worcester
  • Growing Places in Leominster
  • Lovin’ Spoonfuls Inc. in Boston
  • Community Harvest Project in North Grafton
  • Elder Services of the Berkshires in Pittsfield
  • Southeast Asian Coalition in Worcester
  • United Way of Tri-County in Framingham
  • Friendly House in Worcester
  • Boston Area Gleaners in Acton
  • Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance in Worcester
  • St. Paul’s Elder Outreach in Worcester
  • Food Link, Inc. in Arlington

Fallon did not disclose the dollar amount of each grant.
