Delicious Dips, a bakery offering custom orders of cakes as well as a walk-in retail service featuring items like smoothies, has received a $30,000 small business loan from the North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. in Fitchburg.

The loan will provide funding for startup costs for establishing the Fitchburg business. The owner, Paige McNamara, was given technical support from the small business assistance program from Fitchburg nonprofit NewVue Communities Small Business Assistance Program in her efforts to establish the business.

“With this funding from the North Central Massachusetts Development Corporation, I was able to build out the business of my dreams and order supplies and inventory as I opened the business this past summer,” McNamara said in a Thursday press release.

NCMDC, the lending arm of the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, can provide loans to small businesses up to $250,000, as part of its relationship with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
