Spencer manufacturer FLEXcon donated emergency supplies to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester on Wednesday, joining ranks with other Central Massachusetts businesses who are stepping up to support local hospitals dealing with the COVID-19 crisis.

FLEXcon donated Hazmat suits and 1,000 face shields to the hospital, according to the healthcare provider.

The shields and suits will help protect patients and caregivers, the hospital said in a statement.

FLEXcon Chairman Neil McDonough presented the donation to UMass Memorial Health Care President and CEO Eric Dickson.
