Flynn Life Sciences Group has selected its second-ever CEO and named its inaugural chief revenue officer as the Framingham-based consulting firm completes its company-wide rebranding.
Chris DeMaina has assumed his roles as Flynn’s CEO and partner, coming from his most recent position as senior vice president at BioBridges, a Boston-based fellow life sciences consulting company, according to Wednesday press release.
DeMania now serves as Flynn’s second-ever leader, taking over for Founder Mark, who held the CEO role since 2009, Flynn spokesman Phil LeClare wrote in an email to WBJ.
"Chris's appointment marks an exciting new chapter in Flynn Life Sciences Group's evolution," Mark Flynn said in the release. "His proven track record of driving growth while maintaining the highest standards of integrity aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver exceptional value to our clients."
DeMania began his role in January, according to his LinkedIn profile.
"Over many years, Chris has consistently provided exceptional talent, meticulously matching candidates' skills to the specific needs of my teams within clinical operations, development, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance," Monique Duncan, a clinical operations professional who has worked with Flynn, said in the release. "His success stems from a remarkable ability to identify individuals who not only possess the necessary technical expertise but also demonstrate a strong cultural fit within our organizations."
In tandem with DeMania’s appointment, Greg Contino has been named as Flynn’s first chief revenue officer, a role he assumed in February.
Contino has been tasked with building the company’s operational foundation to promote growth and deepen client relationships, according to a Tuesday press release.
“We’re building a team that doesn’t just understand the technical aspects of life sciences consulting, but truly comprehends the human element that drives successful outcomes,” DeMaina said in the release. “Greg embodies the values and expertise that will help us deliver exceptional value to our clients while maintaining the integrity that has defined our organization since its founding.”
Contino comes to Flynn from Arizona-based AB Staffing Solutions, where he worked as vice president.
Both DeMania and Contino’s appointments come as Flynn is undergoing a strategic regrand, expanding its service offerings in response to a life sciences landscape that is increasingly complex.
The company has transitioned to a fractional model, focusing its practice on deliverable-based contract staffing solutions companies with small internal teams that are greatly outsourced to vendors, Flynn said in its press releases.
