Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down 10 cents from last week, the sixth consecutive week of double-digit decreases, according to AAA Northeast.
AAA’s Jan. 19 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.15 per gallon, down 10 cents from last week. Prices locally are 42 cents lower than they were a month ago. The current price is 9 cents more than the national average for a gallon of self-serve unleaded of $2.06. A year ago at this time, the Massachusetts average price was $1.25 higher, at $3.40.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 74 cents, from a low of $1.95 to a high of $2.69.
