Hologic launches new hysteroscopy technology

Hologic, a Marlborough medical technology company focused on women’s health, announced last week it is expanding its hysteroscopy offerings.
The new product offerings include a versatile Omni 30° hysteroscope, the Omni Lok cervical seal, and the Omni 5 French seal.
The Omni 30° hysteroscope implements interchangeable sheaths of varying lengths which allows the device to be adapted to the patient’s anatomy, according to the release.
The Omni Lok cervical seal and the Omni 5 French seal cap both increase procedural efficiency.
The Omni Lok cervical seal minimizes fluid leakage during hysteroscopic procedures while the Omni 5 French seal cap reduces leakage and backsplash when using 5 French tools, according to the release.
These new technologies will expand Hologic’s existing portfolio of gynological surgical solutions and extend physicians’ choices, particularly in the markets of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, per the release
