Inc. magazine names 17 Central Mass. companies among annual list of fastest-growing businesses

Inc. magazine’s 2025 list of the fastest-growing companies in the United States includes 17 Central Massachusetts businesses, with a Worcester-based company leading the local pack with its first-ever appearance on the list.

ShopMy, an advertising and marketing platform for collaboration between brands and content creators, was the highest-ranked Central Massachusetts company on the list, coming in at #68. The firm has seen a three-year growth rate of 4,397%, according to Inc. 

The company’s headquarters is listed as Worcester in its Inc. profile, and it lists a Worcester address for its business incorporation; but lists its headquarters as New York City on LinkedIn and some other platforms. ShopMy was founded by Harry Rein, a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, according to his LinkedIn page. Rein is a native of Hingham, according to his MIT athletics profile. 

ShopMy was the second-highest ranked firm in the state, trailing only Boston-based AI software firm VideaHealth, which ranked at #28. 

ShopMy raised $77.5 million in a Series B round in January involving Bain Capital Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners, according to information provided to the WBJ Research Department, landing it as sixth on notable venture capitals in WBJ’s 2025 Book of Lists. 

UWill joined ShopMy as one of four Central Massachusetts in the top 1,000 on the list. Ranking at #79 on the list with a three-year growth rate of 4,015%, the Natick-based firm provides mental health and wellness solutions to universities.

Touch Screens, a Holliston-based tech hardware firm, ranked at #675 after seeing a three-year growth rate of 618%. The firm was founded in 1997 and is led by Sri Bolla and Sujatha Vakalapudi, according to Inc.

Circular Technology, a Southborough-based tech supply chain firm, came in at #696 with a three-year growth rate of 597%. The company is led by John Donovan and was founded in 2021. 

Outside the top 1,000, other Central Massachusetts companies on the list are:

  • #1059: ClearGov in Maynard, with a 406% three-year growth rate
  • #1,328: Cinch I.T. in Marlborough, with a 331% three-year growth rate
  • #1,427: Suzor IT in Athol, with a 304% growth rate
  • #1,738: Breezy Seguros in Framingham, with a 252% three-year growth rate
  • #2,282: Modern Energy in Worcester, with a 188% three-year growth rate
  • #2,538: Connectbase in Westborough, with a 166% three-year growth rate
  • #2,579: Tiny Tags in Acton, with a 163% three-year growth rate
  • #3,645: SoftPak Financial Systems in Wayland, with a 105% three-year growth rate
  • #3,807: ClearCom IT Solutions in Sturbridge, with a 98% three-year growth rate  
  • #3,913: SumZero Energy Systems in Holliston, with a 98% three-year growth rate  
  • #4,355: BB&R Design-Build in Worcester, with a 76% three-year growth rate  
  • #4,628: Geisel Software in Worcester, with a 66% three-year growth rate  
  • #4,749: Platinum Fire Protection & Services in Marlborough, with a 62% three-year growth rate   

The 17 Central Massachusetts companies on the list is a decline from the 23 featured last year, as the amount of Massachusetts-based firms included on this year's list hit what is at least a six-year low, according to Boston Business Journal
