InnerCity Entrepreneurs, a Boston-based organization that promotes small business development and has offices in Worcester, announced it is changing its name to Interise.
Not all small businesses owners consider themselves entrepreneurs and small businesses are increasingly not based in inner cities, according to CEO Jean Hortsam.
Hortsam said the name change is aimed at appealing to a wider market of small businesses in the state.Â
