Career highlights:
A graduate of Assumption College, I’m currently president/owner of HomeQuest Mortgage Inc. In 1998, I was working successfully as a financial analyst, but wanted more out of life. I started searching for part-time work to supplement my income. A good friend, Greg Kimball introduced me to the mortgage industry. Within a short period, the part-time mortgage income surpassed my full-time salary. I started to imagine a new career as a mortgage broker. Having the financial background, I was confident I could run a business.
In 2001, with the loving support of my wife Jodie, I made plans to start a mortgage company. Today, HomeQuest Mortgage Inc. is licensed in six states and has loaned more than $1 billion in funds to homeowners in New England. During this time, more than 50 people were employed to satisfy the financing needs of over 5,000 customers.

Community involvement:
My involvement with the community is linked to HomeQuest Mortgage Inc. Over the years, HomeQuest has made financial contributions to more than 50 charitable organizations/fundraisers throughout Worcester County. We provide scholarships, sponsor little league, lacrosse, Pop-Warner football, hockey, cheerleading and Destination Imagination teams. HomeQuest has helped raise money to support The Red Cross, Special Olympics, Community Harvest Project, the Grafton Food Bank, Grafton Public Libraries, Grafton Community Day, The Grafton Arts Festival, SPEDPAC and sponsored numerous charity golf tournaments.

Biggest success:
It is clearly the decision to be an entrepreneur and establish HomeQuest Mortgage Inc. Looking back, I can’t believe how far we’ve come. I owe many thanks to my family, friends and the entire team at the company’s headquarters.

Dream job:
I’m fortunate to have found my dream job.

Businessperson he most admires and why:
I admire many well known individuals, but I would rather generalize my answer and say I most admire the businessperson who succeeds on his or her own, meaning he or she has the vision, courage, knowledge and determination to persevere despite the challenges in today’s society.
